Free Airplane Rides Music and Food at El Monte Aiport

Have you ever wanted to get your pilots license or how about just being up close and personal with pilots and airplanes?   If so, head to El Monte Airport this Saturday where The Los Angeles Flight Center is hosting it’s Grand Opening opening of their full service FBO (fixed based operator) and flight school.   Enjoy their spacious comforts in their plush pilot lounge or visit the hanger and look through their fleet of airplanes. This FBO has spared no expense and is giving a first class experience from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave.

The event is Saturday the 23rd of January from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.  There will be free plane rides, free food, music and a raffle for two free demo flights in a Diamond Aircraft; the public, family and friends are invited. (A demo flight is more than just a plane ride, it encompasses some instruction and some hands on control of the aircraft).  Since the weather forecast for Saturday looks a bit dodgy,  I would say the odds of winning the demo flights are not too bad.  Plus, if you don’t win the demo, you can still go on a plane ride and have the opportunity to look inside the airplanes, relax in the pilot lounge and most importantly hang out with friends.  For information about this event or about flight lessons call them directly at (626)579-5232.

* IMPORTANT * Keep in mind, although I was told they will give a lot of airplane rides weather permitting,  it could be impossible to give a ride to everyone, depending on the turn out so get there early.
