Free – Disneyland Admission 2010

By David Ball

Getting into Disneyland free on your birthday may be coming to an end but getting into Disneyland free doesn’t have to.  Starting in 2010, Disneyland is running a new promotion called “Give a day.  Get a Disney day.”  Meaning, volunteer for a Disney approved charity and Disney will give you a pass to get into Disneyland or Disney World theme parks for free.

Sorry this promotion has ended!

In Disney’s own words here is how it works.

“BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2010, when you sign up to volunteer a day of service with a participating organization

(and your service is completed and verified) you’ll get one day admission to a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland®

theme park, FREE! We want to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service.”

What this means is, you and anyone else who volunteers for their approved charity, can get into Disneyland for free!  Entire families, groups, friends or anyone can participate.  Tickets are limited to 1 million volunteers so be sure to do your charity work early.

I was so disappointed in this offer. I signed up myself, my husband , and our oldest daughter to volunteer. I chose 3 different sites to volunteer at and e-mailed all of them. I did all of the on the 1st day I got the e-mail. None of the responded. I e-mailed again, again…no response. Now it is only April and it is already closed off for the year. It should have been more thought out. I told my 6 1/2 yr old that if we volunteered at a local business, we would get passes to Disneyland…Now what do I say???
